Mostly enjoyable

I was really jazzed for this event, even though I only know Jim Jefferies from a few exceptionally good youtube stand-up routines. This one wasn't quite as good, although there were some choice bits in there. The first warm-up comic was excellent. However, starting with the 2nd warm-up comic, we had a very tough time hearing what he was saying. He wasn't holding the mic as close to his mouth, so several lines were missed. I was hopeful that Jefferies would be better about positioning the mic, but he only did so intermittently as well, so although we had good seats at the Paramount, there were several words or even lines that our whole party missed. Therefore, had the acoustics been better, I probably would have had a more favorable impression. Other than that, I could have used some political comic relief, but also realize how nice it is to escape that for a bit, so probably just as well that Jefferies stayed with scat talk.
